Zoey

Zoey is probably who you will read about most on this website. Zoey does everything and does it well. She is a super pony – has the best temperament, moves the best and has the funniest personality. Zoey was bred by Miranda (Randy) Cadwell and came to me after Randy decided she was not big enough to drive with her ponies. At 13.2, Zoey is a little bit bigger than my ponies, but somehow they make it work. Zoey was started under saddle in the summer of 2013. I began riding her that fall after it became clear that Zoey is as good riding as she is driving. Zoey always tries to figure out what it is that you want her to do and how to do it. She also knows the location of the treat bin, the carrot stash, and all the feed bins around the farm.

Zoey is a Section C Welsh mare, by the Section B stallion, The Key, and out of a Section D mare who was imported from Germany. Her dam, Kurbaums Future, is by Rhysted Flyer. Zoey was foaled in 2007.

Allie

Allie is a registered Welsh Section B mare (reg as Windfall Elsinore). I found Allie on the internet, typical story, saw her in person and had to have her. Originally, I drove her with my smaller ponies. Now she drives with Zoey and Bruno. Allie is very forward and smart, so she is quite good in hazards and cones, in addition to being fancy for dressage.Allie has also won a couple of championships showing in hand at the Welsh shows.

Allie is by Shenandoah Crackerjack and out of Lindisfarne Snowdrop. Allie was bred in Virginia by Meridith Mckay-Smith.

Bruno

Bruno is also registered Section B Welsh (as Falling Moon Firefly), although he wants it known he is a boy. I just lucked into the opportunity to buy Bruno and he has turned into a super driving pony. Steady as they come, he can do all phases of a CDE. Bruno was not handled much before he became a driving pony, so sometimes he forgets he can be caught. Sometimes he is also convinced his blanket is going to eat him. But put his harness on and he will drive anywhere. Bruno is also known as Chocolate Fudge Brownie due to his deep liver chestnut color.

Bruno is by Telynau Royal Anthem and out of Telynau China Doll, so is double Eyarth Rio. Recently his dam came to live with us as well. I am very excited to have little Bruno brothers and sisters! (Hopefully in 2016!)
